quick update

We hope you all had a merry Christmas. I don't have time right now to post pictures of our own Merry Christmas, but I will soon. I just wanted you all to know that my dad's heart surgery went well. There were a few complications after the surgery that had us pretty scared but as of right now things look bright! We have spent most of the last four days at the hospital or caring for my parents house(which needs a lot of care during the winter). Aaron is pretty sick as well, so that takes up the rest of our time. I will post pictures when I grab a chance! Happy new year!

Christmas Time at the Frantz's

update

Hello from the beautiful north west! What a week, last week there was about a foot of snow in our backyard, and today there is NONE! Can you believe it? The rain came in full force and washed all the white stuff away, not that I mind. We bought Aaron a pair of snow boots last week, every morning he comes to us, in his PJ'S, and gives a boot and then lifts his foot up. So then he eats breakfast in his thermals and boots! Nice... He keeps us laughin' that's for sure.

Tonight we went to the release party of the CD below! It was fun and the music is fun too! Aaron doesn't dance to it, he mellows out, I like the benefits of this CD already!

Anywho, that's what we have been up to.

Hey all! This here Cd was written, sung and created by our friends and practically family Corey Jenkins, and his sister Annie. If you know Katie Frantz, our sister in law, these are her siblings.

They just released their first CD and it sounds pretty cool! Check it out and listen to samples of their creations at http://www.jenksmusic.com/index.asp

Have a great day!

Can you believe it?

Thanksgiving was a blast! The Schedule was as follows:
10:00- brunch at Autumn and Jim's (YUM)
11:30- To the Farm (Tyson's parents place) for a little pre Thanksgiving dinner visit
4:00- Dinner at the Asper's ( Melissa's parents place)
6:00- disgust with how much we ate, and even more disgust knowing we will eat more!
7:00 - Eating pie/ dealing with a very grumpy toddler!
8:00 - Putting the grumpy toddler in bed!
AHHHH- finally hitting the sack for the early rise and shine (After Thanksgiving sales!)

We had a lot of fun, and can you believe it, I lost weight after all that eating. For the last year I have been trying to lose a few pounds, I guess I was doing it all wrong! I have to eat more to lose more, I can handle that!

My sister's and mom woke up at 4:00 to hit the sales, weirdo's. I, however, did not plan to wake up until 7:00 for the sales I wanted! I was, however, rudely awaken by the phone at 5:30. My sister begging me to stand in line a WalMart for her. I did it though, very surprised when I got a front row parking spot and found everything she needed and walked right up to a cash register! Not too shabby! Then I made it to Target, again for my sister ( I guess she had too many store to get to and I, apparently, did not have enough!) Then it was to my stores, which will remain a secret in the remote chance Tyson will read this blog! We hit a few more stores then met to have breakfast. All in all a great morning!

The sad thing is, we didn't stop shopping then, we still went out that evening and the next day. Pretty pathetic I know!

It was great to see all my family, all six of us siblings made it home this year! My dad will be having a heart valve transplant shortly so we all were here for support and to help get the house ready for winter as he will be "out of service" for six weeks. He won't be able to even open a car door. We are optimistic that everything will be fine, but a few prayers couldn't hurt!(hint hint)

Anyways, happy holiday to all of you! We are debating how to set up a Christmas tree this year knowing Aaron will torture the thing to shreds! Any and all ideas welcome! Thanks

We are still alive, it has been awhile since we have updated this blog! Melissa has had her nose stuck in a series of books for the last week or so, and things have not been getting done. We have been awaiting the arrival of snow so we could take some cute pictures, but (and I am really not that sad) no snow has fallen this year YET! Anyways, we are all healthy and excited to over stuff ourselves and the big Thanksgiving celebrations we have planned! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

That darned phone

The Worst (in my eyes) has happened! First Aaron found the phone, we thought it was so cute watching him talk on the phone. Tyson dug out some old cell phones that are now his toys! Well this morning Aaron found the TOILET!!! I was in the room Ty was in the office and neither one of us heard the splashing noises. We are usually really careful about closing the doors but not last night apparently! Aaron was soaked from head to PJ foot! I know gross. But he wasn't just using his hands he used his cell phone and then started talking into it! sick... I can't help but shiver when I think of it! So promptly we stuck him in the sink, it was the closest thing! And washed, and washed, and washed him.So Heather how does that compare to your phone and microwave story! Just thought I would share the morning excitement with everyone! Have a good day.

Halloween Night

Oh what a night... First we started at Jim and Autumn's house for "snacks" which, if you know Autumn, turned out to be a full festive meal. But it was YUMMY! Then we went trick or treating. Aaron did not protest long when we put him in his costume, thank goodness. Here are some pictures of the fun.
Looky here, he actually likes the costume! Isn't he the cutest little bumblebee you ever seen?
Here he is with Elise, his cousin. He never wants to stand still!
Mom (with her blue hair) and Aaron out trick-or-treating! Aaron could barely see out of his costume as apparent with the video below!

To keep things moving I even tugged Aaron's Antenna for a little ways. Eventually the thing popped off, fun huh?

We went trick-or-treating with some cousins, there was a pirate (sierra), a kangaroo (Laetitia), a chicken (Elise), a gorilla (Payson), and a boy being carried away by an alien (Austin). Later we were joined by a princess (Emily), and buzz light year (Taylor). we went to only a few houses, but have enough candy to last a while.

On our way home! Dad carried Aaron back to the house, and we ate, and ate and ate. Happy Halloween everyone!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Tonight we will be going to a family Halloween party and Aaron will experience the thrilling tradition of "trick-or treat" ing. He will be a bumblebee if he decides he likes the fury costume tonight! Good luck to everyone else who is having issues getting their children to wear costumes.
Aaron has learned all about phones and today he was walking all around the house holding an old cell phone and saying da...dra (meaning, of course, Dad and Dedra) then squealing with delight and rapidly jabbering for a few seconds. It was funny, believe me.

Aaron's first Hot tub experience

Aaron and Dad in the hot tub. This was the first time we had Aaron in the hot tub because his skin was kinda bad. He loved it in there and his skin reacted well to the chemicals so this will be a fun family "activity" for the Frantz Family.

Aaron and his Shoes (tyson and melissa's cheap entertainment)

For some odd reason Aaron found that throwing his shoes around was a fun game! We should have grabbed the camera earlier, he was laughing every time he threw a shoe. He did this for like 10 minutes! Enjoy!

another day in our life

That slide show was not easy.... just so you know! We had a second B-day party for our little guy yesterday with two cousins who all have b-days within two weeks of each other! It was really fun. hopefully we can get some pictures up here soon. We being the devoted and doting parents did not bring our camera so we are relying on our family for these pix.

The Presents

So... here are some pictures and video of Aaron with his birthday presents! ENJOY!

This is a "car" toy. It makes lots of cool (annoying) sounds..Aaron thinks it is a riot!

This is the scooter that has taken over our house! Aaron loves it! The thing is, we took off the stabilizers (training wheels) and so falls over a lot! kinda funny though.

SEE! He loves it. After the cake he was a mess, so we let him run around in his "birthday suit" fitting huh?

Thought I would throw this one in there too!

Aaron's 1st Birthday

TODAY IS AARON'S BIRTHDAY! He turned one. (well he will turn one at 6:23 pm) Anyways, here are some photos and video of the "party"!

Well, because it is his birthday he got a wonderful home made, from scratch cake made by Super One Bakery! It was delicious! But first he had to eat lunch! So peanut butter and jelly sandwich was the lunch of choice.

Mom and Dad's beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday". My main concern was keeping his little hand out of the flame!

Another beautiful rendition by Aunt Dedra, Uncle Tom, Kylie, Tyson and Eli.

And then, there was cake!!! Lots and lots of cake!

This is my favorite picture!!!

I can never tell if Aaron is funnier or Tyson, you tell me! (Aaron is about 4 or 5months old, I think (I am a bad mother!))

Our young prodigy

Aaron is a genius ! He surprises us with wide range of knowledge! I mean, really, look at the video he is already destined to be the next Beethoven.

shoulder ridin' fool

Well here are two of the three of us! Aaron loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders, don't blame him really.
